Suzuki=Bakudan – Akira Nagai- 136’ (Jap) – thriller
A man arrested for being drunk and destroying a drinks machine tells the detective questioning him that he is poor, but that he has the ability to predict what will happen in the near future. Although they cannot find out who this man who calls himself Suzuki is, he warns the police in riddles of what is going to happen: a bomb in Tokyo, followed by others that throw the city into turmoil. An excellent performance by Jirô Satô, in a plot that draws the viewer into an intriguing story with unexpected power plays. This is the director’s seventh feature film.
