After the tourists leave, a building is left empty, except for a sinister doorwoman. Young Luna sets out on a journey to find out how her mother, disappeared on the last day of Carnival in Guarapari, and her search takes her to this old building. Rodrigo Aragão is a Brazilian director and writer known for his previous films “Mar Negro” (2013), “A Noite do Chupacabras” (2011) and “Mangue Negro” (2008). “A Mata Negra” (2019) won the Best Screenplay Award in Fantasporto 2019.
