Bahay Bata / Baby Factory- – Eduardo Roy Jr – 104’ (2011)
February 27 • 7:15pm • Room 2
Sarah is a nurse at a public Maternity Hospital. The hospital is in a frenzy, with pregnant women in different stages of labour. It is short on staff, so Sarah is forced to put a double shift. Observing the women coming and going in her ward, she notices who is a first timer or a veteran. Meanwhile, the wards are overcrowded. Two women and their babies share single beds while those in labour are spilling unto the hallways. Sarah takes all this in stride, her heart and mind more on her own personal pains.
