The edition of 2013, which will screen in national preview the latest and most creative cinema of the world, will also honour the duo Michael Powell and Eric Pressburger, celebrating the 65 years of their masterpiece, "The Red Shoes" (1948) which will be screened in a copy restaured by BFI. Another tribute will be made to the late French filmmaker René Laloux, , a leading figure of the world of animation film, and a great friend of Fantasporto. Paying tribute to his achievement 40 years ago, Fantasporto shows  his sci-fi masterpiece "La planète sauvage" on the night of February 25th in  the Grand Auditorium of the Rivoli Theatre and with an original score played live on the stage by the band "Beautify Junkyards".
